Hokoria and beyond
The Koru’s Office has today launched The Dam Times, a publication aiming to bring news from Hokoria to the public in a much easier and understandable way.
Hokoria is a complicated place, The Dam Times works to make it simple (to understand). It will report on national, local and international news all from a Hokorian point of view.
Over the last few weeks, the Koru’s Office has been expanding its intelligence operation. First, an agreement with the Unitary Republic of Curnon on the August 17th. Then, another agreement with Il Regno di Concordia on the August 30th.
But why, and what exactly is Hokorian intelligence? Let’s dive in.
Hokoria and Curnon’s intelligence relationship is nothing new. The two nations have shared critical information with each other since relations started, together countering numerous threats and cooperating on other investigations.
Some investigations and operations had little involvement from Hokoria, such as Curnon’s Operation Pretzel against Perdomo’s right-wing Pontunia, whilst others have had more significant involvement between them.
“Hokoria and Curnon are somewhat alike. A significant amount of our active community is also a part of Curnon, and both myself and Curnon’s Grand Premier are involved in each others nations. It just makes sense to share what we know.” (from Willow I)
Hokoria and Concordia’s relationship is much different though- Concordia is a newer nation with a newer intelligence relationship. Unlike Curnon, there is no historical cooperation or deep relationship with them, so why?
Unlike Curnon’s smaller capabilities, the Concordian Central Intelligence Agency has more people and is better organised.

No, Hokoria has no intelligence agency- but that does not mean Hokoria has no intelligence capabilities. Historically, and at present, the Koru’s Office has been responsible for investigations and cooperation in this area.
It was the Koru’s Office (then known as His Majesty’s Office) that led and published the Report of the Investigation into Alexandra Irikladis that was key in the controversial micronationalist being ousted from most of the community, whereas the Department for Exterior Affairs (under Willow I’s control) often shared intelligence briefings and reports with allies on foreign states and groups.
During the Som Conflict, dispute with Cycoldia and more, the Koru’s Office was responsible for intelligence gathering and distribution.
The Koru’s Office will be continuing to seek out intelligence partnerships with other states as it works to strengthen Hokoria’s national security and resilience.
Hokoria’s intelligence operations are about responding to threats to the national order and wider public safety, while working with our allies wherever help can be given.
Though these new partnerships are not in response to anything in particular, the Koru has one message: Hokoria is watching.
